My local market doesn’t have a website, so as something of a community service, here is the opening hours of the Footscray Market over the Christmas/New Year’s period.
24 Dec – open 7:00am-6:00pm
25-28 Dec – closed
29-30 Dec – open 7:00am-4:00pm
1 Jan – closed
2 Jan -7:00am-4:00pm
Normal opening hours for Footscray Market are:
Tuesday and Wednesday – 7:00am-4:00pm
Thursday – 7:00am-6:00pm
Friday – 7:00am-8:00pm
Saturday – 7:00am-4:00pm

Our pantry is stocked for xmas, but I wonder if Little Saigon will be open for emergency mints, perilla and green mangoes!!??
or even limes for emergency margaritas…deprivation can get ugly.

Thank you so much for your information. We live in Maryborough and would have travelled down to Footscray on Monday as it was open on Monday of this week to accommodate Christmas. Now we’ll go on Sunday for the New Year shopping! :-)

If you’ve not yet left, don’t!!! Its not open today (sunday) It was a nice morning for a cycle ride, but frustrating. Now having to head to Vic market for prawns.
